Drawings

First up...

New tee @ Arinco cos Kohta just came back from a meeting in Japan~~

Went to the official arinco blog & saw... Ando-san!

Lol it's been a looong time since I saw him. (>_<) Ando-san was really nice, generous and funny. I used to be really stingy with the cream on the sandcake but he said "Moto Moto" and always gave a FRIGGIN GENEROUS PORTION of NAMA CREAM(fresh cream) so I've since inherited that gesture, and I feel kinda bad when customers don't get as much cream from others cos I feel they are shortchanged. lol.

Anyhow, that was also when I realised how friggin PUNCTUAL the Japanese are when they go to work. When they start at 9am, they really do mean reaching earlier to have breakfast or whatever, and start WORKING at 9am, on the dot.

And I must must must fill you in: Ever since I started work in Nov, I've never been late! Gotta keep up the good habit. (^w^)

***

While at Arinco, I also learnt that... Japanese can draw~~, I remember how Ando-san possessed cute drawing skills too.

Today- I asked Yvonne(Singaporean) to decorate the box like Sayuri, and here's what she drew:

Note: Cloud & Sun= Sayuri. 'Bird(s)' & flower= Yvonne.

Sayuri pointed at the 'bird' outlined in purple and asked, what is this?

Yvonne said: Bird~~

Sayuri: *Can't believe her eyes* Bird???

So then I asked Sayuri to draw a bird and tada~~~(outlined in pink)!

Close up of the birds:

Sayuri's bird is so friggin cute!!!

Then...

I tested everyone and asked them to draw birds!

1) By William- a Singaporean colleague who studies in an international school, and he took Japanese for IB. Perhaps that's why his bird is cuter than a typical Singaporean's??

2) By none other than... Kohta! Yes, Kohta participated in my silly game! (^O^)

3) By Dave (S'porean who lived in Japan for a decade)~ He took the pen, and immediately replicated Yvonne's 'bird' without knowing what she drew! Total S'porean style-__-". lol.

4) By Kat(Singaporean, who's half-caucasian).

Most Singaporeans would know of the 'bird' that Yvonne drew; Kohta & Sayuri found it pretty new though~~ Heh Heh.

Google Chrome works shitass fast so if your comp is being a total arse, try using that browser, it loads at lightning speed <3!

Alrighty, this marks the end of my pointless entry.

G'night!!

+/- encounters?

Yet another tiring day, with random happenings.

Encounter 1 :

Spotted a whole group of Japanese students, wearing a polo tee with the word 'Japan' printed at the side. Quite a young group but cute nonetheless. My heart went to e2max childish mode, where one would kinda wish you were young again. Two of the Jboys walked pass and said Konnichiwa to yours truly(^U^)~~~ I think I wouldn't be able to breathe if I were 14...(Yes they are that young looking to me...BUT, cute!! lol)

Encounter 2 :
A young looking lad(16 or so) from Singapore American School came up to me and said, "Hey, you're working again."

me: "eh... *confused* you are..?"

him: "Um.. you dont remember me? I'm... well nevermind... *extends his hand for a shake"

me: *steps backward, gave him an overall glance and wrecked my brains on who he is* So... Do I know you?

him: "well I'm ***(forgot his name)"

me: "So where did you see me? here?" (He honestly looks more e2max.. cos he's caucasian. Then again he can't be an e2max customer cos that would be 2 years back and it'd be amazing if he remembers me.)

him: "Yes.. Nice to meet you, I'm ****(forgot his name) Can I?" *extends his hand for a handshake again*

me: "okay..." *gave an unintentional stingy handshake* (like those of my 2nd uncle's. I dunno why but he only shakes the tips of people's hands-__-. So bloody annoying. He'd never see this so it's alright.. I think. lol.)

him: "I'll see you around..." *scurries off*

What an odd encounter~ I wonder if it's a DARE stunt?

Encounter 3:

Japanese man comes for Caramel Roll.

I acted clever and said: "Hitotsu?" (one)

He nodded.

Then he asked if I was Japanese in Japanese.

I said no I'm Singaporean, and only know a few words (at this point I really regretted adding the stupid hitotsu). Should keep my mouth shut next time and stick to sign language.

He continued rattling in Japanese, which I obviously don't understand.

J man: What's your name?

Me: Cheryl.

J man: Sharow...

Handed him his Caramel Roll cake. And he stood there, seemingly still.

Gave him a bye bye wave and ended the awkwardness.

Then for the most positive encounter of the day... *drumroll please*

YL visited me! And helped me collect my specs! How sweet is she?

(Pix: credits to YL's awesome cam! I look like shiteasscrap but her cam didn't really capture that... or so I hope.)

THANK YOU YANLIN~~~!

YL says its weird to see Cheryl, Miss Cheryl Lim Yen Yen actually working, and witnessed me cutting cake and whipping cream.. Things I'd NEVER DO. (All who know me would know I'm spoilt thanks to having maids for 15 years and counting...)

Hahaha. The GLORY... not.

Charmaine came too and I was in the midst of whipping cream like a haggard worker. lol. So I stopped, posed, and waved bye to them.

Hello, y'all are not allowed to see me in pathetic state okay~~~

LOL.

Anyhow, thanks for visiting.

Gonna sleep till really late tmr. No work in the weekend! Yayness!

Freebies are <3

So shagged from work.

According to D, I'm less tired looking today. And today was w/o falsies. So yeah. I shouldn't put falsies now. Mascara shall be my love.

Had free crepe, courtesy of D who thinks I'm too skinny.

And Green Tea Kit Kat & Shiroi Koibito from a JP manager who works somewhere near our station~~ ^V^

Apparently shiroi koibito is quite a popular snack. Sayuri & Chiharu were all wide-eyed and lovelovelove~~ And it's really nice so I'm all lovelovelove too!

Realisation II:
-I am biased.

Gotta admit, it was alright feeling when a Justin Timberlake-looking 'morning' stood beside me on the bus ride back home. He had a girlfriend beside him, and he was so sweet. The bus was so effing crammed so when it jerked, he asked, "are you ok?" (to her of course). It's the feeling where the whole bus passengers' eyes are fixated on them.

That's the utter truth when you're with 'mornings'. Like it or not, you get stared at. People make silent judgements when they see you.

I was one of them tbh. I just had to peep at the gf when Justin Timberlake lookalike and his gf alighted. I wonder if she's tired of all the stares coming her way? Afterall, it's like a stressful attention.

Getting really giddy from lopsided specs. I'll continue this stupid realisation of mine another day when I receive my new specs!

P.S: Gf's 'afternoon'/asian. Forgot to add that in. There wouldnt be as much hype if she were a 'morning'/white too.

Realisations

-Went thru fb message inbox and realised there are many losers out there.
-I really look like shite. (ascertained by what D said @ work today.)

According to him, my bling bling-ness(whatever that is- but supposedly something positive) is gone, I now have dead fish eyes, look really tired/stressed out, etc etc. In short, I look like total shite.

Thanks alot.

But he's right cos he hasn't seen me for a couple of months. You know how people who havent seen you for a long period of time can tell the major diff from when they have last met you?

Well I do admit, I look like craaap.

I feel so sleep deprived, but I've got work again tomorrow.

Gotta work my ass off in the hols~~~

G'night yall.

P.S: My specs died on me while studying the other day. Bought new ones which costed a bomb~~ -__-"

I might just wear specs to work one day. Can't be bothered with the effed up image. lol~~

'Secret place'

Gonna hide at this secret place for 4 hours, till the meeting starts. Have been in school since 10am for a test(which I previously flunked)- crammed some info this time, so it should secure a pass now. (^O^). I'm happy with passes... argh~ how unambitious and mediocre can I get?

Anyhow, I've been having bubble tea here, going on facebook & youtube, and trying to get some sleep. The last one didn't work though... I mean, how can I surf the net & sleep at the same time right?

So yeah, despite being really tired, the stubborn bull in me can't help but surf the net and blast music on speakers. Ah~~ crazily happy.

Oh yeh, saw a Namie's new vid- The Meaning of Us.

God, how fucking young & pretty can she get? She looks a decade younger than her true age. I wanna look like that when I grow old. But I already look older and uglier, so life sucks for me. thank you very much.

(Not to mention, I'm staring at the mirror right now and scrutinizing the damned eyebags that refuse to disappear. my only self-consolation right now is: I haven't slept enough, and it might miraculously disappear when I do-__-").

I'm going to have to visit Korea and get lots of jobs done.

The other day I was telling Kyandi Korean guys are sweet(thanks to watching too many Kdramas, I'm such an avid fan and 'auntie at heart'- tearing at sad films/dramas are the greatest joy in life, I'd feel like my life is very fulfilled lol) and she muttered something like, "but your future baby might not be ...."

Me: who said anything about marrying? BFs are fine. Not husband...lol. Husband- umm.. aren't 'mornings' the safest bet? The baby would prolly be cute. PROLLY. Not every baby with 'mornings' will be cute, but the baby wouldnt be (too/that) ugly either... I s'pose.

In any case, if you really like the Koreans, I don't think you'd care if the baby is not handsome/pretty/cute. I mean surgery can easily correct that so yup. Koreans are awesome~~!

Disclaimer: not every korean is *ahem*(whatever *ahem* might be.)

Okay should stop typing like a bimbo.

Shall catch some sleep now bye.

Work

Have been busy working lately, and got another few slots for the week ^V^~~

This bun is effing good cos I don't need to wear the cap which is part of the uniform.

P.S: I've now got major eyebags now, and gotta take care of it pronto! What should I do? Sleep? Or get eyemasks? lol.

So many things so buy, so lil $$$.

Gahh. Life sucks.

Ok bye.

My Tuesday

Had a shoot earlier this morning where our entire class had to participate in an individual vid. The entire process was fun yet awkward. I get really uncomfortable with just stranger-eyes, let alone a few pairs of stranger-eyes. Gahh. I wanna have the vid cos I know I'll laugh so hard at myself. I had stupid NGs~~~

The rest had some NGs too, but mine was embarrassingly retarded. >_<

Met up with Kyandi & Amanada and went from LASALLE-> Orchard-> Haji Lane-> Bugis-> LASALLE again.

*Warning: Flooded w/ iMac photobooth pix*

Oh god, we're so glam!

Lastly, caught 'Siren', a LASALLE play @ the SIA Theatre and it was home sweet home!

P.S: Siren's really nice. If you haven't caught it, catch it tmr(wednesday)! It's the last night so don't miss it!
